Too often the issue of climate change feels abstract and overwhelming. The Week is a way to engage this issue in a supportive way that acknowledges our many different feelings\, with friends and neighbors. The Week doesn’t tell us what to do or think\, but empowers us to make up our own minds.\n \nMedfielders who have participated in The Week highly recommend this program\, even if climate change documentaries/discussions are not usually your cup of tea! It is not about recommending a particular policy solution at all\, but instead focuses on our humanity and the wide variety of feelings that people experience on this issue.\n\nThe group will view three 1-hour documentary films over the course of one week\, and spend about 30 minutes after each viewing to have a guided conversation.  \nDates: Tuesday\, May 5th; Thursday\, May 7th; and Tuesday\, May 12th from 6-7:30 p.m.\nPlease plan on attending all three sessions\, if you can\, so you get the most out of this experience.\nSessions will be held in the Conference Room of the Medfield Public Library \nPlease Register  https://medfieldpubliclibrary.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/the-week-3/

DESCRIPTION:The Temperature Blanket originated with the Tempestry Project to represent global warming – a way to visualize temperature change in fiber Art. This is a knitted or crocheted blanket that uses different colors of yarn to record each day’s temperature over the course of a year. It is a visual representation of climate change. Come hear how the Tempestry Project began as a data art movement. Donna Luft will talk about the project and show how to start a blanket of your own. History and instructions will be shared. A knitted and a crocheted blanket – both in progress will be on display.
