SUMMARY:Swap Open Saturdays
DESCRIPTION:Come see what’s happening this season to save our planet! The purpose of the Swap Area is to divert items from going into the waste stream. The SWAP AREA is a convenient drop-off spot for unwanted items or a unique “shopping experience” at a bargain price\, it is FREE!  Items are NOT disposed of at the end of the day (as was done in the past)\, items generally remain at the SWAP for a few weeks to give them a chance to be seen and taken before recycled/repurposed. \n  \nThe Swap is open to Medfield residents who have a Transfer Station sticker. It is open through late September every Wednesday\, Friday\, and Saturday 9-3. Dropoffs until 2:30 each day. The area is decluttered daily and packed up items go to New Life\, Big Brother/Big Sister\, MADD or St. Vincent de Paul. Also partnering with Smash and Splash to remove broken pottery in addition to aiding local events.

SUMMARY:The Week - Making Sense of The Climate Crisis 3-Session Program
DESCRIPTION:Session #3\n\nThe Week is a unique\, informative\, and potentially profound group experience to discuss our warming planet\, and what we can actually do about it. Too often the issue of climate change feels abstract and overwhelming. The Week is a way to engage this issue in a supportive way that acknowledges our many different feelings\, with friends and neighbors. The Week doesn’t tell us what to do or think\, but empowers us to make up our own minds.\n \nMedfielders who have participated in The Week highly recommend this program\, even if climate change documentaries/discussions are not usually your cup of tea! It is not about recommending a particular policy solution at all\, but instead focuses on our humanity and the wide variety of feelings that people experience on this issue.\n\nThe group will view three 1-hour documentary films over the course of one week\, and spend about 30 minutes after each viewing to have a guided conversation. \nDates: Tuesday\, May 5th; Thursday\, May 7th; and Tuesday\, May 12th from 6-7:30 p.m.\nPlease plan on attending all three sessions\, if you can\, so you get the most out of this experience.\nSessions will be held in the Conference Room of the Medfield Public Library \nPlease Register  https://medfieldpubliclibrary.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/the-week-3/
